Did you guys hear about my favorite CSI star Gary Dourdan getting kicked off of the show? I want to cry! I love him so much. His people were trying to make it seem as if he quit, but the CSI people were saying he was let go because of behavior and “other problems”. Then a few days later he gets arrested after falling asleep on the side of the road. In his car they found a host of drugs. He claimed that they weren’t his, but judging by his mugshot I don’t really believe him. I wonder if they’re going to give him a chance to go to a drug treatment center. I think I read somewhere that he’s had problems with drugs in the past. His arrest doesn’t change how I feel about him. He just needs help.

I was watching this video of Alicia Keys that I wanted to post but I completely forgot where I saw it at. It was some behind the scenes footage of her shooting her new music video for her song “Teenage Love Affair”. At first I wasn’t really happy with her decision to release that particular song as her next single because I have so many other favorites, but after watching the video I’m glad that she did. She had so much fun shooting the video and the concept is also really great. I wish I could remember where I saw the clip. At any rate you’ll be able to see the video really soon. Watch out for it!

This week has definitely been Mariah Carey week and I’m loving every second of it. Not only did she release a new album (which I’m in love with) yesterday, but she also released a new DVD that I can’t wait to receive! I’m in my glory. Every time I see her perform on television I’m busting into tears. I’m ridiculous. You guys don’t understand how much I love this woman. I’ve been a fan since DAY ONE and I think I’ll always be. She’s just my musical idol. She can do no wrong in my eyes. Speaking of Idol, she was great as the mentor on American Idol last night. I can’t wait until she performs tonight. Hopefully she’ll continue to perform well. I hope she sells a ton of albums this week. I know I have a few coming to me!!

I was checking out the previews for that new Celebrity Rehab reality show with Dr. Drew and I was kind of disgusted by it. I don’t understand why they would make a reality show exploiting celebrities with serious addictions. The celebrities on this show are mostly has-beens and they’re probably just happy to be making some money and appearing on television. It’s kind of sad and pathetic. If they can really get help from the show, great, but I have a feeling that’s not even the case. I don’t think there should be a reality show making light of addiction treatment. So many people battle addiction and to me it’s no laughing matter.

Wow, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to sleep. I’m sorry for the lack of blogging on this site as well as the main site. I’ve been feeling really sick for a while now. Anyhoo, off of that, I’ve been listening to the Spice Girls lately like crazy. I’m not really proud of that, but I thought I’d share. It’s funny because I downloaded all of their albums and I’ve been listening to them a lot, but I never really thought I was a fan of them until I started listening to some of their biggest hits. Then I remembered that I did used to like them when I was little. 2 Become 1 is my favorite song of theirs. I mocked them a lot when I heard they were going on tour, but I can’t even deny it, I love me some Spice Girls. I saw their whole tour and they still have it. Girl Power!

These past few weeks I’ve been watching a ridiculous amount of reality television. It’s not even good reality TV. I’ve been watching a lot of Tila Tequila, the model shows, etc. I remember the days when The Real World was the only reality show on television and we were all amazed at the fact that real people would put their lives on display. SMH. Now there is a reality television show on every network, for every purpose. I’m not really sure if that’s good or bad. When the writer’s strike first started, the first thing that came to my mind was “great, more reality TV”. That seems like the next progression. As long as they keep making them, we’ll keep watching them.
