Computer Stress

Happy Monday. It’s almost 10:00a and my day has already gotten off to a stressful start. I woke up this morning feeling good but then my computer decided that it didn’t want to work. I’m really not sure what the problem is. It started acting weird yesterday after I installed some “crucial” Vista updates. I really hate that Microsoft makes you install things without telling you what they’re for. I’m always uneasy when it comes time to install updates because I’ve had many problems in the past. A few months ago I installed “crucial” updates and now my computer takes forever to start and when it does start, it constantly pops up this little icon saying I’ve added hardware even though I haven’t.

I think Microsoft should be responsible for the damage that they inflict on people. Maybe I do need to switch to a Mac. Don’t get me wrong, I love Vista, I’m just so tired of the problems. Too much stress over electronics. Sometimes dealing with computers is like looking for apartments in Winter. It’s not worth the pain you go through! Anyway, I’m determined to have a great day and I hope you all have a great day as well!

Monkey’s Room!!

I’m so happy! I received two new monkeys this week. If you know me at all, you know that I’m obsessed with monkeys. I have dozens already and they’re my favorite thing to collect. Actually, it’s not just monkeys, I have tons of primates in general. Monkeys are my favorite though. I love the two new monkeys that I have. I’ve already named them (don’t judge me)!!! I can’t wait to move so that I can display them better. Hopefully when I do move, my room will be much bigger than it is now. I’ve definitely grown out of this room. Even though I’ve been doing a lot of downsizing I’m still limited in space.

It will be so exciting to finally move to a new place and design things the way I want. I’m looking forward to that. I haven’t dedicated much energy to this house because I know it’s not where I truly want to be. I have so many design ideas. I might even be bold enough to get a huge monkey cardboard display for in front of my closet. You know the ones they have outside of stores. Haha that would be so cool! I can see it now! A big cardboard display of Bobby Jack or Curious George!

The Best Bridal Shoes!!!

I love Spring and Summer weddings. I think Spring is the best time to get married. If I ever get married, it will definitely be in the Spring. Not only can you have a beautiful wedding outdoors, but you can also wear open toe and peep toe shoes. Those are my favorite!! I was checking out one of the best online shoe sites, Zappos.com and I came across a lot of gorgeous wedding shoes. I’m not usually a fan of white shoes, but these shoes are pretty awesome.

My favorite pair of bridal shoes on the Zappos site are called ‘rsvp Toni’. It’s a gorgeous pair of open toe sandals with silk rosettes on the front. I love that they’re only about 3 inches high, so you can still be comfortable on your wedding day. These sandals would be perfect for a variety of different events because they come in a few different colors.

I’m also a big fan of these peep toe shoes called ‘Quarter’ by Moda Spana. They’re so classy and beautiful. I love that Zappos.com has such great prices. Let’s Build!!!

I wish I knew how to build things. I would love to build myself a bookshelf. I notice that the bookshelves they sell in the stores aren’t as sturdy as they should be. If you want a solid wood bookcase you’re going to pay a lot of money. I wouldn’t mind paying a good price for something that will last many years but none of the bookcases are the size that I need. I need something that is solid wood with at least 5 removable shelves. I notice that most store bought bookcases only have 4. I have a lot of storage needs!!

Sometimes I think it would be a great idea to take a class on how to build things. Then I could just buy some wood and industrial products to build the simple things that I need. That way I can customize things just the way that I want them. Doesn’t that sound much better than paying a lot of money for things you have to settle for?
