Personally: A Crying Song

A Song That Makes You Cry: This is a hard question for me because I’m constantly crying over a song. Actually, I think I answered this before for the music meme. *Goes to check* Nope. It was “A Song That Makes You Sad.” But I guess It’s the same thing, kind of. I usually cry when a song is sad or I can relate to it because of a situation I’m going through at that time.

From my other blog: One song that comes to mind though is “Can’t Take That Away (Mariah’s Theme)” by Mariah Carey. Mariah is my favorite musician, but that song totally depresses me. It’s one of those songs that I’ll usually avoid listening to even though it’s really good. Other songs that give me that depressed feeling because of the subject matter are “How Come How Long” by Babyface feat. Stevie Wonder, and “Black Orchid” by Blue October. I also get sad when listening to “Whisper a Prayer” by Mica Paris, but that’s only because the video is really sad and I always think about it when I hear the song.

Personally: My Day

Your Day, In Great Detail: It’s only a little after 3 in the afternoon, but my day has been a bust so far. I woke up this morning at 4 a.m. with the expectation of getting some work done but that didn’t really happen. I then wrote an article that I had to do. My deadline was a few days off, but I felt it just hanging over my head so I wanted to get it out of the way. I got really great feedback from the editor about that. After that I watched my baby cousin for a few hours while my Gram ran some errands.

After my Gram got home I spent some time with my mother. After that I ate lunch and watched an episode of CSI. I attempted to start a new drawing but that wasn’t working for me. CSI just went off so I figured I’d get in some blog work. I’m expecting two deliveries today from Walmart. That’s about it. I’ll probably spend the rest of the day working or something. Boring, I know!

Personally: A Video

A YouTube Video: This was left wide open, huh? I’m not sure what I should post. I guess I’ll get something from my favorites! I decided to go with this video from National Geographic of “chimpanzees problem solving by cooperation.” If you don’t know by now, I’m obsessed with with primates and chimps are my favorite! It’s a cute and interesting video. Chimps are so much smarter than a lot of people I know! Scary.

Personally: Last Book

The Last Book You’ve Read: The last book I read completely was probably “A Call to Die: A 40 Day Journey of Fasting from the World & Feasting on God” by David Nasser. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing that book was. I’m planning to read it again later this year because I need to fast again. I wish I would have continued on a better path after completing the book, but it’s never too late. The book I’m currently reading is “Drawing Near: Daily Readings for a Deeper Faith” by John MacArthur. I just started that on February 1. It’s my second time reading it.
