A Little Snow

The weather man predicted snow the other day and surprisingly it did snow. It really wasn’t that much snow at all, but it’s enough to make things annoying. Especially for me. I don’t have to go out in the snow or anything, I just hate it. I have some weird thing with snow. It makes me feel really uncomfortable. I guess because it really isn’t a liquid or a solid, so it’s hard to know how to feel about it. It also makes everything bright and weird.

Everyone always gets excited when it snows, but the excitement quickly turns to disgust because there isn’t enough snow to play in or enjoy, it’s really just enough to make things wet, messy and slippery. It’s pretty much an inconvenience if you ask me. I’m sure the snow will probably be gone by the middle to end of the week. It’s already starting to melt. Hopefully it won’t snow again this winter. I loved having such a mild winter this year. I hope the summer is mild as well. Everyone knows I hate the heat!

So Green

I remember a year or two ago when I started watching Planet Green, I became so obsessed with that network. I used to love watching different ways to live a green lifestyle, conserve energy and save money. My mom and I would always say if we ever got rich we would live off the grid. I was only half serious, although watching some of those shows did make it seem possible. Especially that reality show with Ed Begley, Jr. and his family. Um, ‘Living with Ed’ it was called. I loved that show. I used to enjoy seeing him drive his wife Rachelle crazy over the strangest thing.

Watching that show is when I first realized how much sense it makes to buy a composter to make your own compost. They had a compost bin on that show and it was so efficient. Actually, I think they had two. Something like that would be great for my mom and I because we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. The only bad thing is that we don’t really have a garden.

Just Thinking…

I’m really getting so annoyed with the way my websites have been looking. I want to take some time (hopefully before the New Year) to get them together. I want to put up some new layouts and maybe even purge some entries. I feel like there’s really no joy left in blogging. I guess because everyone is into micro-blogging with Twitter and Facebook. I guess I’m left out because I don’t use either of the services. I just feel like I’m in such a different place. Sometimes I feel as if I’m an alien and I’m just visiting here. Of course I don’t believe in aliens, so that just means I’m completely out of place. Who knows!

Besides that, I’m going to be working on my art site a little too. I’ve been posting things on my art site for a while now, but I want to do a new layout and separate the portfolio from the blog. I think that would be a good idea. I wish I could promote my art site more without social networks and stuff. I’m really not into that, but it seems as if that’s where everyone else is at right now. Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. Blah.

Tomboy At Heart

I don’t believe in past lives, but if there was such a thing, I’m sure I had to be a guy in a past life. I just had to. I’m a real girly-girl in all ways that matter, but when it comes to sitting and the way I dress, I definitely have tomboy tendencies. I have to be mindful when I’m sitting in front of people when I have a dress on because for some reason I always sit like a boy. I have that honestly though because my mom sits like a linebacker too. Haha.

And when it comes to clothing, I would rather wear sweats and sneakers than dresses and heels. I would probably even take one of those welding jackets over a fur coat. I just like to keep things simple. I don’t like excess. I’m sure you don’t hear too many women say that!
