My Creative Baby

I forgot to blog about this when it happened, so I’m going to blog about it now! Last week my Goddaughter came to see me! My cousin’s cousin on her dad’s side got killed, so they were in Jersey for the funeral. I actually got to spend a good deal of time with my Goddaughter, and boy do I love that little girl. Well, she’s not little anymore. She’s almost taller than me. She’s so awesome though. I like her so much. I mean beyond loving her, I really like her. I’m so proud of her because she’s very intelligent and responsible. She’s also pretty funny and creative too.

When she was here she let me read this story that she wrote. It was inspired by Justin Bieber, of course. It was so entertaining. She hadn’t completed the story yet, so when I was reading it and it abruptly ended I was so disappointed! I made her sit there and write another page. I can’t wait until she completes it. Love that girl!

Scanned and Organized…

I finally persuaded my mom that it would be a great idea to gather together all of the papers and records she has collected over the years and put them on the computer. She has so much stuff, but no real system for organizing things. That’s why everything is so confusing for me. I’ll be honest though, she seems to know just where to find things when she needs them. That’s great for her, but if I ever need to do business on my own I’ll be lost.

If we can ever find the time, one day soon I hope to get everything together and scan stuff into my computer. I know it’s going to take a long time because there are so many things to scan and my All-in-One isn’t the fastest thing on earth. I definitely see why large businesses use scanning software to get organized. It’s hard doing everything by yourself.

You Girl

My aunt sent me a text saying that she’s coming to visit on Sunday and I’m actually kind of looking forward to it. She’s pretty funny and I usually enjoy her company. We have come so far in our relationship. There was a time when we couldn’t even stand to be in the same room together. Well, I don’t know if she felt that way about me, but that is how I felt about her.  I’m glad I don’t feel that way anymore.

One thing I find funny about my aunt is that she always calls everyone by different names. Usually because she can’t remember our names. She even forgets her kids names. She’s like 40 and can’t remember names! She’s just like my grandmother. Everyone is “you child” and “you girl.” Sometimes I want to get those ‘Hello My Name is…’ name tags just so they will remember who I am!

Park Day

Today was a ridiculously hot day in Jersey. It’s hard to believe it’s only April and it’s this hot already. If today was any indication of what I have to look forward to this summer I’m going to be miserable. This evening when it cooled off my little baby cousin got to go to the park for the first time since she’s been walking.

She just turned one in March and she hasn’t been walking that long so it’s extremely funny to see her walk. She loves the park though. I know her mom wishes she had some commercial playground equipment in her backyard to keep her busy. She needs to buy her a swing. Most babies love those.
