How Charming…

I think I may just be one of the few woman in the world who have never owned a charm bracelet. I think owning a charm bracelet is some kind of right of passage for most teenage girls. Most girls usually get a charm bracelet when they’re younger and then they spend the next several years buying different charms to put on the bracelet. At least that’s what I’ve always noticed.

If I ever have a daughter, I’m definitely starting a yearly “charm for charm bracelet” tradition. I want to buy her a charm bracelet on her thirteenth birthday, then give her a new charm to add to the bracelet every birthday after. At least until she’s 21! That would be so cool. I wish my mom and I had done something like that! I guess it’s never too late though!

Usually Not A Gamer…

I used to think that I was the only person in my family who didn’t like playing games, but that was until I discovered this game website online. That website is so awesome! It has all the games I used to love playing when I was younger, such as Uno and Skip-Bo. They even have more advanced versions of those games. I also love playing one of my favorite online games ever, Collapse. That game is so pointless, yet so much fun. Sometimes I think about getting a game console to play other games on. Maybe an Xbox.

My Goddaughter and her brothers got an Xbox 360 with Kinect for Christmas and they love it. Of course they probably play games like Gears of War 3, but I’m looking forward to playing games like Just Dance and Zumba Fitness as a fun way to lose a few pounds. I know if I get an Xbox I’ll probably become so addicted to it, so I need to make sure I buy games that I can keep active with.

Labors of Love

I decided to do a life blog since I haven’t done one of those in a long time. Probably because there isn’t much going on in my life. I’ve pretty much just been working, painting and drawing. I don’t even get to paint and draw much these days because my headaches have been so bad lately. I really need to get tests done, but without insurance I’m not sure when or how that’s going to happen. I don’t want to think about that though!

Besides doing the whole art thing, I’ve also been building a website for our (my mom and I) Ministry. That’s been going pretty good, but my mom and I have had a few bad arguments. It’s just difficult to communicate things at times because she gets overwhelmed and I get frustrated. It’s so much work, but I know I’m doing it for a good reason. I just hope when all is said and done that God is pleased with what we do. That’s really all that matters.

It’s The Thought…

I was talking to my best friend yesterday and he mentioned that he ordered a piece of jewelry for me. I really don’t like to wear jewelry, but I thought that was so nice of him. Even if I don’t like something, I’m always so appreciative of the fact that someone thought enough of me to buy me something or do something nice for me. For me, it truly is the thought that counts!

I think I get so excited and happy when someone does something nice for me because it doesn’t happen often and even when it does happen I never expect it. I may have to look into some mens titanium bracelets or something for him for Christmas. I have to think long and hard though because I want to get him something he will love. He’s harder to please than I am!
