Sam I Am?

Favorite Dr. Seuss book? It’s funny because I’m only in my twenties, but I can’t immediately recall reading more than one Dr. Seuss book. And I’m not even sure whether that one book was “Green Eggs and Ham” or “The Cat in the Hat.” I learned how to read when I was three and growing up I was kind of a Sesame Street fangirl. My favorite books to read were “Ernie’s Little Lie”, “The Case of the Missing Duckie”, and “The Little Red Hen.” Nostalgia!!! I had such an awesome childhood! Besides those books I also loved to read countless others. I still have many of my childhood books. My mother was a real stickler for reading. I wasn’t really allowed to watch TV and if I was, it had to be PBS.

I miss my childhood and how much I used to read. Since I’ve discovered the Internet I’ve lost a great deal of interest in reading. I think the Internet kills intelligence and creativity in a way. For instance, instead of thinking about how words are spelled I’ll just use spell check. And instead of doing math in my head I’ll use the Internet calculator. I need to boycott the Net.

Real Women Have Insomnia

I made the mistake of staying up late last night to watch Real Woman Have Curves and now I’m so exhausted. It’s funny because I was actually tired at around 10 PM, but I didn’t want to go to sleep that early so I decided to work on my website. As my luck would have it the server was down so I decided to watch a movie. By the time the movie went off it was nearly midnight. By that time I had gotten a second wind so I wasn’t too tired. I pretty much lied in bed until around 1 when I was finally able to doze off.

I then woke up at around 2:30 AM because I thought I was dying. Lol, I know. But my heart was racing and I had this weird feeling in my chest. It felt like someone was suffocating me. Needless to say, that kept me up for a while. By the time I fell back asleep it was nearly time to wake up. So I guess I’m going to be groggy all day. I’m so tired I could doze off on one of those game tables that they have in break rooms at some jobs.

Not Missing Cable, Yet…

It’s been about six months since I last watched television. I watch a lot of television shows and videos online, but I haven’t watched an actual television set since the summer. I don’t really miss it either. I decided to get rid of cable because I was only watching about two hours of television every week. It seemed like such a waste. Especially when most of the things I was watching on cable I could watch for free online. I thought about getting cable again two months ago just because I missed the Hallmark Channel, but that’s kind of dumb.

If I ever do decide to start watching cable again it will be easy for them to hook up. I still have all of the wires around my house. I used cable ties to secure the wires in my room so that I won’t trip over them. Those wires are long and thick and take up a ridiculous amount of space. I can’t be so bothered with them!
