30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 01
September 3rd, 2010 Posted 12:31 am
I’ve decided to do one of those 30 Day Personal Challenges on this site. I’m also doing the 30 Day Music Challenge on my other website. I thought that this challenge would be a way to lighten things up around here and share some things about myself.
Your Favorite Actress: I don’t really have a favorite actress. There are actresses that I’m fond of generally; such as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry… and there are actresses that I’m fond of in certain things, but I wouldn’t call them favorites. The actress I probably love the most and the one that never disappoints me is Ms. Cicely Tyson! Listen to me when I tell you, I love that woman! She is incredible. I literally cry sometimes when I see her on TV. She just moves me. I loved her so much in so many movies. Some of my favorites are Sounder, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, The Women of Brewster Place, Mama Flora’s Family, and Fried Green Tomatoes. Those are also some of my favorite movies. Amazing woman and actress!! I guess I do have a favorite actress after all, huh? Lol

My Music Monster!
July 30th, 2010 Posted 4:17 pm
I’ve created a music monster. There was a time when my mom could either take or leave music, but now she’s addicted to it just like me. I listen to all types of music, but she only listens to Christian and worship music. She’s even got me hooked on a lot of artists, especially Jeremy Camp. She’s gotten so serious about her music that she’s been buying a bunch of CDs without my knowledge and then offering to “let me hear them”. The funny thing is that I like her music more than I like my own!
The only downside to her newly discovered addiction is that she needs a place for all of this music. She’s already filled one MP3 player and is in need of a new one. She needs to just buy a large capacity iPod. I love ipods and think they offer a lot of space and features. Hopefully she can find one that holds all of the CDs she’s been purchasing behind my back!

Lame & Lazy Days…
April 14th, 2010 Posted 10:21 pm
Today was a very lazy day. I didn’t work today or do anything productive. I woke up at 6:15 this morning thinking that I would work, but I just didn’t feel good, so I went back to sleep. I suffered a head injury a few days ago and it hasn’t completely healed yet. Hopefully the pain will go away soon. I really should have went to the hospital because I know people can die slowly from head injuries, but I guess I’m just taking my chances. Plus my injury was more to the front of my head. Not sure if that makes a difference…
I haven’t been able to draw in a while. I hate that. I miss drawing. I plan to learn this new art program soon so I can get back to it. I just don’t have any desire or inspiration these days. We’ll see though. The only thing that’s been getting used in my house lately are the entertainment centers. Gram in the living room watching TV all day and my mom and me watching Mission Impossible after work. We’re all lame… and lazy!

Bookcycle…
April 13th, 2010 Posted 10:53 pm
I’ve been giving a lot of thought to boycotting the Internet since my last blog and I’ve pretty much accomplished that goal. I haven’t been spending much time online at all. Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing anything productive either. I’ve been working, resting, watching a lot of episodes of Mission Impossible (the series) and doing other stuff, but nothing creative. I downloaded this new drawing program that I’m trying to learn, but until I learn it I won’t be doing much drawing.
I think I may finally start reading some books that I bought. I bought a few new books from a book club and I bought some used books from a few sites online, including Amazon books. There’s such a great selection of new and used books online, but I almost always buy used books over new books when I can. I think it’s nice to recycle and reuse books. Maybe book publishers wouldn’t agree, but used books are my favorite for many reasons. Not just because I’m cheap!
