Music Dreams
January 31st, 2012 Posted 10:49 am
I’m not one to live in regret, but there are definitely a few things in my life that I wish I had done differently. I won’t get into all those things, but I will mention one. When I was in middle school, I had the opportunity to join the school band, but I never did because at the time I thought it was pretty lame. I was more concerned with hanging out with my friends and didn’t want to dedicate the time it took to learn to plan an instrument. I was also disappointed that I had to play the clarinet or flute instead of the guitar or piano. I’m obsessed with guitars and pianos. I think they’re the best instruments in the world.
If someone said “pick any Line 6 instrument you want,” I would definitely pick a guitar. I’ve had the opportunity to fool around with a guitar before and it’s so much fun to play. Hopefully one day I can take lessons and learn to play for real. I don’t want to play in a band or anything like that, I just want to learn to play for myself.

Usually Not A Gamer…
January 15th, 2012 Posted 10:13 pm
I used to think that I was the only person in my family who didn’t like playing games, but that was until I discovered this game website online. That website is so awesome! It has all the games I used to love playing when I was younger, such as Uno and Skip-Bo. They even have more advanced versions of those games. I also love playing one of my favorite online games ever, Collapse. That game is so pointless, yet so much fun. Sometimes I think about getting a game console to play other games on. Maybe an Xbox.
My Goddaughter and her brothers got an Xbox 360 with Kinect for Christmas and they love it. Of course they probably play games like Gears of War 3, but I’m looking forward to playing games like Just Dance and Zumba Fitness as a fun way to lose a few pounds. I know if I get an Xbox I’ll probably become so addicted to it, so I need to make sure I buy games that I can keep active with.

So Green
December 29th, 2011 Posted 4:29 pm
I remember a year or two ago when I started watching Planet Green, I became so obsessed with that network. I used to love watching different ways to live a green lifestyle, conserve energy and save money. My mom and I would always say if we ever got rich we would live off the grid. I was only half serious, although watching some of those shows did make it seem possible. Especially that reality show with Ed Begley, Jr. and his family. Um, ‘Living with Ed’ it was called. I loved that show. I used to enjoy seeing him drive his wife Rachelle crazy over the strangest thing.
Watching that show is when I first realized how much sense it makes to buy a composter to make your own compost. They had a compost bin on that show and it was so efficient. Actually, I think they had two. Something like that would be great for my mom and I because we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. The only bad thing is that we don’t really have a garden.

Saturday’s At Home
December 28th, 2011 Posted 10:43 pm
I appreciate the guest post, Vito Rivers
I love sitting at home on Saturday’s and watching direct tv and it’s partly because my brother plays for the Chicago Bears. I’ve always been really into sports and I was actually really good at football when we were younger but Brad’s always been better and he’s all about his procareer. Of course the whole family is really supportive so we like to sit on the phone with each other and watch all of the games he gets to play in. I know he’s living the dream and though it was my dream too, at one point, I’m really happy for him that things are working out like he wanted them to. There’s something to be said for getting to do what you want to do with your life and Brad’s a great example of that. He worked hard and walked on at Northwestern and look at him now, on one of the most respected football teams there’s ever been. I’m really proud of him and all of his accomplishments!
