Missing The Newness…
March 17th, 2010 Posted 9:38 pm
I think it’s funny that when I was looking for a new job I was willing to grind so hard to pretty much get anything that was decent and paid well. Now that I have a job that fits the bill I’ve kind of lost my enthusiasm for it. The “newness” has worn off and now it’s all about work. I think when you first start a new job you’re just so happy to have it (especially the way the economy is going right now) that the thought of financial security motivates you. You look forward to getting up early and staying up late if you have to. But once that job becomes a routine you realize what it takes to keep it up.
I definitely love my job and I’m very happy to have it though. At this point in my life I don’t think I could really ask for anything better or more convenient. I just wish I had the same motivation I had when I was on the job search. I think if I manage my time better and get more sleep I’ll actually look forward to doing my job daily.

Quote Me On That?

I’ve been thinking a lot about life insurance lately. Right now my mom and I don’t have any and I think it would be a smart idea to get us both some. Neither of us are in good health and I wouldn’t want either of us to be stuck if something happened to one of us. I think that’s a heavy burden to have to deal with. My mom spoke to this guy from this big insurance company about sending us some information about their policies and he still hasn’t gotten back to us. I think maybe we were asking too many questions for him. LOL. We’re not going to just sign our lives away (no pun intended) without asking questions.
That company is one of the largest insurance companies in the United States. I see their commercials talking about auto insurance and life insurance all of the time, so you would think they’d have more useful information on their site. Oh well. I’m going to look around at other companies. I like when sites offer life and auto insurance quotes right on their site. It’s much more convenient!
Hoping For Computer Sales!
November 25th, 2009 Posted 10:46 pm
I can’t wait until Friday. I’m hoping to buy a new laptop during Black Friday. I really want to buy a laptop from Dell since that’s where I buy all of my computers, but I’m not sure if they even have Black Friday sales online. It would be cool if they do. Hopefully I can find a good deal on a nice computer. I don’t want to just buy anything because it’s cheap. I want to get a nice computer and a good warranty. I hope I can. I’ve been trying to decide whether I should get a regular laptop or a netbook. I think I’m going to go with the standard laptop. I think I’ll like it better.
I was considering getting a Mac, but I decided at the last minute not to do that. I’m just a PC kind of girl. Not only that, I really don’t have a lot of friends with Macs. If I mess up my computer now I can ask a few people for help. I don’t want to get a computer that I don’t know how to fix. We’ll see though. I might change my mind again. I just hope I can find a deal on Friday. If they have sales on truck accessories online they should have Black Friday computer deals!

Where Are My Discounts?

I need a vacation. I’ve been stressed a lot lately. My mom thinks that a little vacation will do me some good. She says if she could, she would send me away for about a month. How cool would that be!! I don’t think I’d want to be away from my mom for a month, but I definitely wouldn’t mind being away from everyone else. That would be awesome. I think my mom needs a vacation too, so I’d take her with me. We always have so much fun together. I’m still making plans to visit a few places before I turn 30. On my short list is Europe and Hawaii. There are a few other places I’d like to visit before I die, but Europe is number one!
I would also love to visit an Island. It really doesn’t matter which one. I need to start looking for some good deals on hotels and plane tickets. I know you have to plan trips to different countries a long time in advance. There are always deals for Florida hotels, New Orleans motels, California flights, etc, but I never see anything about discount flights to England!
